Infant – Age 3
Nursery
Younger children and babies are welcome in the Nursery, located on the main floor of the church. Sometimes a three year old is not quite ready to join Church School, so they can stay in the Nursery until they are comfortable with listening quietly and doing activities with the older children.
Age 3 – Grade 5
Church School
Once a child is comfortable participating in a classroom program without a parent or guardian present, they are invited to join St. Peter’s Church School program. Visit the Church School page to learn more..
Vacation Bible School
St. Peter’s hosts a one-week day camp program for elementary school-aged children in the summer. Children will learn about the ministries in the church, the Bible, learn more about their faith, and participate in a range of games, crafts, activities and songs. Signup for VBS begins in late spring. Please watch the St. Peter’s homepage, the weekly newsletter and/or the church bulletin for more information on when to sign up.
Grade 6 – Grade 12
St. Peter’s has many vibrant and active programs for youth. Young people are involved in Church School, worship services (as servers, readers, teachers, nursery care, sidespeople, and intercessors), volunteering with outreach projects, in youth groups, and in many other ways.
St. Peter’s Youth (S.P.Y.)
St. Peter’s offers many service opportunities for youth. Young people are actively involved in worship services as servers, readers and/or intercessors.
Youth, who are between Grade 6 to 12, are invited to join our weekly S.P.Y Bible Study on Sundays during the 9:15 AM service.
The S.P.Y Bible Study can be joined in-person or virtually, and give youth a chance to connect with other youth from the parish as they deepen their faith. S.P.Y. members have opportunities to ask questions that are relevant to their everyday lives as Christian youth living in the 21st century.
S.P.Y. also holds special events and participates in service opportunities throughout the year including:
- Hosting Coffee Hour after the 9:15 AM service
- Leading worship services
- Going on spiritual retreats
- Being a leader at Vacation Bible School
